Event Submission Terms on sifnos2day.gr

By submitting your event through the sifnos2day.gr form, you fully and unreservedly accept the following terms:

1. Scope – Free and paid listings

1.1. Submitting and listing non-profit cultural events on sifnos2day.gr is free of charge. Cultural events include, indicatively:

• theatre performances

• film screenings

• music and dance evenings

• talks, presentations, conferences

• exhibitions

• cultural activities and actions.

1.2. When organisers submit their event themselves through the online form, it is essential that all details are completed:
date and time, venue, organiser, category, any ticket price, description and image material.

1.3. In addition, sifnos2day.gr may accept, for a symbolic fee, certain profit-making events that fall within its editorial/thematic scope, as defined by its team, including for example:

• regular music nights in venues,

• shows or parties with paid entrance/cover charge,

• activities such as hikes and organised excursions.

1.4. This symbolic fee covers website maintenance costs so that the site can remain ad-free. Details regarding the amount and method of payment will be communicated to the organiser before the event is published.

2. Eligible events – Cultural nature

2.1. Only cultural events may be submitted, whether non-profit (free listing) or profit-making (with a symbolic fee), including but not limited to:

• theatre performances

• film screenings

• music events and concerts

• dance events

• talks, presentations, conferences

• exhibitions (e.g. painting, photography, handicrafts, etc.)

• workshops, activities and actions of cultural content

• thematic events related to the culture, history, traditions and nature of Sifnos.

2.2. sifnos2day.gr retains sole discretion to decide whether an event:

• has the required cultural nature and/or

• falls within its editorial/thematic scope, as defined by its team.

3. Non-eligible events

3.1. The following may not be submitted or listed:

• events that do not have a clear cultural character,

• activities of a purely advertising or promotional nature (e.g. offers, “happy hour”, purely commercial campaigns),

• actions that are not substantively related to culture, the local community or the thematic focus of sifnos2day.gr,

• events that contain or promote illegal, offensive, racist, sexist or otherwise inappropriate content.

3.2. sifnos2day.gr reserves full discretion to reject events that it deems not to be in line with its philosophy and operating terms.

4. Mandatory event details

4.1. In order for a submission to be accepted, all required fields of the form must be completed, including for example:

• Event title

• Date and starting time (and end time, where applicable)

• Venue (place, address/area)

• Organiser (organisation, association, group or individual)

• Event category

• Ticket price (if applicable – otherwise “Free admission”)

• Short but clear description of the event

• Image material (e.g. poster, image related to the event)

4.2. sifnos2day.gr may request clarifications or additional information before or after publication.

5. Review and approval of events

5.1. All events are subject to review after submission.
5.2. Approval, classification as free or paid listing, and publication are carried out exclusively by the sifnos2day.gr team.
5.3. sifnos2day.gr reserves the right:

• not to publish an event,

• to request changes to the text or event details,

• to make minor corrections (spelling, formatting) for clarity,

• to remove a previously published event if it is deemed that:

  • it violates these terms,

  • it contains inaccurate, misleading or offensive information,

  • it raises legal or ethical issues.

6. Responsibility for content – Accuracy of information

6.1. The person submitting the event declares that all information entered (dates, times, prices, venue and organiser details, etc.) is true and accurate.
6.2. The submitter bears full responsibility for the content of the event and any changes (postponement, cancellation, change of venue/time, etc.) and must, where possible, inform sifnos2day.gr of any significant changes.
6.3. sifnos2day.gr is not liable for any errors, omissions or changes, nor for any damage suffered by third parties resulting from the information provided through the listing.

7. Copyright – Image material

7.1. By submitting image material (posters, logos, photographs, etc.), the submitter declares that:

• they hold the necessary rights to use and reproduce the material,

• its use by sifnos2day.gr does not infringe the rights of third parties (e.g. photographers, creators, publishers).

7.2. The submitter grants sifnos2day.gr a non-exclusive, free licence to publish, reproduce and display the event text and associated material, solely for the purpose of presenting and promoting the event on the website and the official social media accounts of sifnos2day.gr.

7.3. In the event of third-party claims for infringement of intellectual property rights, sole responsibility lies with the submitter, who undertakes to hold sifnos2day.gr harmless from any such claim.

8. Use and processing of contact details

8.1. Contact details (full name, email, phone number) are collected for the purpose of:

• enabling the sifnos2day.gr team to contact you for clarifications and confirmations,

• informing the public (where you choose to have these details displayed).

8.2. By submitting the form, you accept that the details you provide may be used to contact you regarding the specific event and, if you consent, for general information about cultural activities of sifnos2day.gr.

8.3. Your personal data will be stored only for as long as necessary for the above purposes and in accordance with the applicable personal data protection legislation.

9. Right to modify/terminate the service

9.1. sifnos2day.gr reserves the right at any time and without prior notice:

• to amend these terms,

• to change the submission, approval and fee policy,

• to temporarily or permanently discontinue the event listing service.

9.2. Any changes to the terms will apply from the time they are posted on the website. You are advised to check the terms of use periodically.

10. Acceptance of terms

By submitting an event through the form, you declare that:

• you have read and understood these terms,

• you fully and unreservedly accept them,

• you are the organiser of the event or have the organiser’s authorisation to submit it.
